June 7, 2008: Bojutsu Wooden Staff Seminar

Saturday, 2007 - 2:00 to 6:30pm. (From 5:30 to 6:30pm we usually have dinner together.)
DESCRIPTION:
Each monthly session will bring us closer to understanding the martial arts of the Bujinkan. This year
our emphasis will be on Togakure ryu ninpo taijutsu and the concept of ninpo ku nari.
INSTRUCTOR:
Joe Maurantonio began training in the Bujinkan martial arts in 1983. He first met and trained with
Togakure ryu headmaster Masaaki Hatsumi in 1986. In 1991, Joe sensei was the first New Yorker awarded
the title of shidoshi (teacher of the warrior ways). In December of 1992, he opened the
Bujinkan New York Dojo's Bronxville location with the assistance of his senior student, Glenn Catania.
In 1999, he edited and published his teachers book (Ninpo:
Wisdom for Life) into English. Joe continues his 25th year of Bujinkan affliation by training
with Hatsumi Sensei and with senior Bujinkan instructors whenever possible.
